I love me a good OC reference anywhere I can throw it in. I remember being a young teenager thinking what in the world is Summer talking about when she says that she is vibrating at a high frequency. Throughout my years, experiences, and studies of Yoga, I FINALLY understand what she means. Basically, she encourages us to bring our energy levels up to a higher level.
So, how do you do this and what good does it serve?
Have you ever heard of the chakras? They are seven energetic centers located along the length of the spine. The first five are connected to the five universal elements - ether, air, fire, water, earth. Each charka corresponds to a plexus in the body. Plexuses are networks of nerves, blood vessels, and/or hormone receptors designed to chemically communicate with organs. Our breath us interconnected with the chakra system, so much so that it activates the chakra bodies throughout the day to support the human experience and support the overall system.
When the chakras are balanced, the practitioner becomes stable, secure, and connected to sensuality. This leads to the ability to freely speak the truth using right knowledge as a guide for discernment, a strong connection to intuition, and a feeling of being spiritually whole.
In turn, when the chakras are out of balance, the practitioner may feel unsafe, unsupported, disconnected from sensuality, closed off and lonely, unable to communicate, compelled by intellect rather than intuition, and/or disconnected from Source.
The concept of balancing the chakras is rooted in various spiritual and holistic traditions, particularly in the ancient teachings of yoga and Ayurveda. If you practice keeping them in balance you will be able to notice significant changes in your overall wellbeing, relationships, emotions, stress levels, and so much more. You will feel more aligned, authentic, and healthier as a person. By the practice of unblocking your chakras, new information about yourself will become unveiled and you will notice that just like Summer Roberts, you are vibrating at a higher frequency.

Some techniques that I recommend to help you find blockages and to open each centre of energy are:
Yoga, Breathwork, or Reiki
Daily Meditation
Crystals
Journaling & Self Reflection
Mindful Eating
Identifying Patterns
Gratitude Practice
Remember that this integration process is personal, and you may adapt these tasks to fit your preferences and lifestyle. Consistency and mindfulness in your daily practices will contribute to a more holistic and balanced approach to well-being.
